Bethnal Green
Vs
Bedfont
Manager Justin Gardner spoke to www.bethnalgreenunitedfc.co.uk about how he is looking forward to this season and how he is more than happy with his squad for the coming season that starts with an away game at Bedfont.

We had a good turn out of players who took part in the trails for pre season training camp. The management team and myself also decided to release players to cut the squad down.

We are very happy with the squad we have put together for the coming season, so with everyone pulling together we should have a very successful season ahead of us.

Bethnal Green United        6
Beaumont Athletic        0

Bethnal Green stormed to their first title of the season, with a demolition of local rivals Beaumont in their own backyard of Mile End stadium.
In front of a large crowd made up mainly of Beaumont friends and family, Bethnal came out determined to stake their claim as Tower Hamlets top club over their Essex Senior League counterparts. A cagey opening ensued, but after centre-back Wesley Erskine poked home from a Brett Carter free-kick after 10 minutes, Bethnal Green took control and never looked back.
Michael Begg soon added a fine second following a trademark incisive run and extravagant finish, squeezing home from a tight angle having rounded the keeper and last defender. Beaumont’s hopes of gaining something from the game were slipping away at this point, but they remained resolute in defence up to the half-time whistle to keep themselves in with a slight chance in the second half.
These hopes soon evaporated however, as Bethnal Green stepped up several gears following the break. With their attack now firing on all cylinders, the irrepressible Danny Sabaraoche, later named official man of the match, fired in the goal of the night – jinking and turning 3 defenders before crashing his shot home from the edge of the box.
Captain Philip Tschopp was next on the score sheet, turning in from close range following fine work from Begg on the edge of the 6yrd box, before Sabraoche added his 2nd with a fine chip over the back pedalling goalkeeper. Credit for this 5th goal must mainly go to Justin Weatherman playing in an unfamiliar full-back role however, who chased down a seemingly lost cause by the corner flag to present the Bethnal number 10 with his opportunity.
The outstanding Alfred Kamara fittingly capped a fine individual display with Bethnal’s 6th of the night, slotting between the keepers legs following a driving run down the left as part of another flowing Bethnal attacking move.
Beaumont were shell-shocked, and were thankful of the sanctuary of the referees final whistle as Bethnal hungrily pressed for more goals. A crushing display then by United, that will reverberate around the Tower Hamlets football community – onwards and upwards for Justin Gardner’s men.
